since 1983 and Traveled Lane has been offering their products since
2004. We've been very pleased by customer response to the robust
construction, workmanship and value offered by Top Hat trailers.

that are or were in Traveled Lane inventory, unless otherwise noted. To
keep captions to reasonable length, significant options may be
mentioned, but all options on the trailer may not be mentioned.

The Medium Pipe (MP) models are some of Top
Hat's most popular trailers. MP models are available in
lengths from 12 to 20 feet and feature 2-3/8"
diameter pipe toprails. (In case you're
wondering, they also offer Big Pipe models with 3" pipe
toprails). MP models are tandem axle trailers with 7000
lb. GVWR. MP models are available with expanded
metal tailgates, slide-in ramps and other features. In
keeping with Traveled Lane's philosophy of offering well
equipped trailers rather than price leaders, we typically
equip these trailers with brakes on both axles (one axle
brakes standard), treated pine deck, set back jack and
spring assist when there's a tailgate. Split tailgate,
wrap tongue and other options are offered. The
MP is available in 77" standard deck width and optional
83" deck width. We usually equip the 77" wide
model with a spring assisted tailgate. On the 83"
wide model, we usually equip it with the 4' slide-in ramps.

Top Hat's Runabout Pipe (RP) models are extremely popular. RP
models feature a single axle and 2990 lb. Gross Vehicle Weight
Rating (GVWR). The "Pipe" in Runabout Pipe refers to the 2-3/8"
pipe toprail, which is the same as on the tandem axle Medium
Pipe models. Generously sized 15" wheels are standard on RP
models, as are stake pockets and treated pine deck. RP models
are available in lengths from 8 to 14 feet, and with all the 12'
models we're showing, you've probably guessed that 12' is a very
popular size. We often order the RP in standard 77" deck width
with optional 48" tailgate, spring assist on the tailgate and
setback jack. The RP is also available in deck widths of 60
inches (5 feet) and 83 inches (just under 7 feet). Some of the
pictured trailers feature the optional wrap tongue, which
extends the tongue back to the fenders for extra rigidity. The
RP is a very versatile and easy-to-handle trailer, perfect for
carrying lawn tractors, ATVs and more. When equipped with the
optional expanded metal sides, the RP becomes even more
versatile. The optional tilt bed feature is available on models

The Econo Pipe (EP) models are for those in-between
applications. EPs feature tandem axles and 2-3/8" pipe toprails
like the MPs, but the EPs are rated for 5000 lb. GVWR. EPs come
in lengths from 12 to 16 feet with standard 77 inch deck width.
We typically equip EPs with brakes on both axles (brakes on one
axle are standard), treated pine deck, set back jack and spring

Top Hat's Equipment Haulers have proven to be very popular,
especially the 18' model with 12K GVWR and optional 5' fold-up
ramps as pictured here. The 12K model comes with electric
brakes on all four wheels and a 10,000 lb. Drop Leg Jack as
standard equipment. A robust frame with wrap tongue (extends
back to the fenders), 3" pipe bump rail, treated pine deck,
rubrail, stake pockets and 2' dovetail are standard. Top Hat
offers slide-in and fold-up ramps of various lengths as
options on the EH series. We've found the optional 5' fold-up
ramps with spring assist to be the popular ramp setup.
Equipment Hauler models are available in 9.5K and 12K GVWR
versions, in lengths from 12' to 20'. (The length designation
includes the standard 2' dovetail. That is, the 18' model has
a 16' flat deck plus 2' dovetail.) There's approximately 83"
clearance between the fenders. 2 wheel brakes are standard on
9.5K models (4 wheel brakes available as an option) and as
stated above, 4 wheel brakes are standard on 12K models. A
Bulldog coupler is standard, but we often order the EH with
the adjustable coupler option as shown on the pictured
trailers. The adjustable coupler allows you to adjust the
height and to select either a Bulldog coupler or pintle
ring. If you need the capacity of an Equipment Hauler, but
need something with rails, Top Hat offers the Load Hauler (LH)
and Heavy Hauler (HH) models. Load Hauler models have 9.5K GVWR
and 3" pipe toprail. Heavy Hauler models have 12K GVWR and 3"

The All Steel Car Hauler (ASCH) is Top Hat's top of the line
car trailer. It features a standard flush deck of diamond
plate steel, 2' dovetail, 5' slide-in ramps (4' ramps on 14'
model) and stake pockets. The All Steel is available in
lengths from 14 to 20 feet and has a GVWR of 7000 lbs. The
ASCH features a standard wrap tongue (which extends back to
the fenders), pipe bump rail with 45 degree front corners and
teardrop fenders. The pictured trailers have the optional
side steps, which are nicely integrated into the structure
just forward of the fenders. Add the optional Chrome Package
(aluminum trim on fenders and side steps) and you have a
trailer that really stands out from the crowd. The deck is 83
inches wide and the floor to fender height is 9 inches. We
typically equip the All Steel with brakes on both axles
(brakes on one axle are standard), 4 flush mount tie rings,
optional Chrome Package and spare tire holder. The All Steel
is offered in a variety of colors, including Black and Medium

HAT Deluxe Car Hauler (DCH)

The Deluxe Car Hauler (DCH) has a GVWR of 7000 lb. and features
a standard treated pine deck, flush floor, teardrop fenders, 2'
dovetail and 5' slide-in ramps. The Deluxe also features
a standard wrap tongue that extends back to the fenders, stake
pockets, pipe bump rail with 45 degree corners and set back
jack. (The trailer shown is an earlier model which doesn't have
the 45 degree corners.) The pictured trailer has the optional
side steps, which are integrated into the structure just forward
of the fenders. The DCH is available in lengths from 12 to 20
feet. Standard deck width is 83 inches and the floor to fender
height is 10 inches. We typically equip the Deluxe Car Hauler
with brakes on both axles (brakes on one axle are standard),
side steps and spare tire holder. The DCH is available in a
variety of colors. (Due to space limitations on smaller models,
12' does not have a dovetail and 12 & 14' models have 4' ramps
instead of the 5' ramps of longer models.)

The Car Hauler (CH) is Top Hat's most
affordable car trailer. The CH has a GVWR of 5000 lbs. and
is available in lengths from 12 to 20 feet. The CH features
an 83 inch wide flat pine deck with standard stake pockets.
The Car Hauler has a standard pipe bump rail and wrap
tongue. We typically equip the Car Hauler with brakes on
both axles (brakes on one axle are standard), slide-in
ramps, teardrop fenders, setback jack and treated pine
deck. The standard floor-to-fender
height on the CH is 13-1/2". An optional flush floor is
available to reduce the floor-to-fender distance to 10
inches. A dovetail is standard on Deluxe and All Steel Car
Haulers, but is available as an option on CH models.

Here's a neat little trailer. This is Top Hat's 5' x 10' tandem
axle dump trailer. If you'd like a dump capability, but
don't want to deal with the size and cost of a big commercial
dump trailer, this might be the trailer for you. It's great
for light commercial, small farm or big yard use and costs
considerably less than typical 10K and 12K models. With the
standard 7000 lb. GVWR, the 7K Dump has a payload capacity in
excess of 4500 lbs. and as you can see in the photos, it has a
lot of structure for such a compact trailer. The pictured
trailer has the standard 7000 lb. single ram lift, but Top Hat
also offers an optional scissors lift (the scissors lift is
standard on Top Hat's larger dump trailers). This model
comes with 12" sides as standard with plenty of uprights for
support. Brakes on one axle are standard, but we ordered
this one with brakes on both axles. Top Hat offers the choice
of a split gate (as shown here) or a single flip-up gate. The
pictured trailer is also equipped with the optional battery
