Here’s a popular model.  It’s Shadow’s extra wide 2 horse straight load with dressing room.  The official designation is 7155S-2STR-BP, which stands for 7' body width (6'9" actually), 15.5' body length, 2 horse STRaight load, Bumper Pull.  Standard height is 7'6", the horse area is nearly 11 feet long and the dressing room is approximately 4.5 feet.  It's a roomy trailer!

The 7155 BP features a robust aluminum tube frame, aluminum skin, extruded aluminum plank floors (with integrated cross members every 6 inches), smooth-riding torsion axles, electric brakes and radial tires.  Those are the things that keep you safe as you go down the road, but you’re probably more interested in hearing about the features that make it comfortable for your horse and convenient for you.  Here are some of them… 

The ceiling is lined & insulated for the full length of the trailer.  The walls of the horse area are lined & insulated as well.  All standard.  These surfaces are white, bright and inviting.  The insulation is good for keeping the trailer comfortable, but it also contributes to quietness.  The padded stall divider and post are removable.  The chest and butt bars are padded and have easy-to-use hardware.  (Don’t take quick or easy-to-use for granted!)  A head divider and vents over the stalls are standard, as are mats on the walls and floor.    

     

The escape doors on Shadow’s 700 series models are some of the widest we've ever seen - they even have huge drop down windows for outstanding light & ventilation – standard!  Another thoughtful touch is the standard running boards (it’s easy to take running boards for granted until you’ve worked with a trailer that doesn’t have them).

The trailer shown here has what we like to call our “All Around Windows” package.  The large 19”x53” windows at the stalls are standard, but we’ve specified two windows in the nose, two windows in the rear curtain doors and a huge 19”x53” window in the dressing room rear wall for even more light and ventilation.  The standard 7155 offers a pleasant environment and our All Around Windows package only adds to the appeal! 

     

But wait, there’s more…  The Shadow ramp is very easy to lift, thanks to an effective spring assist.  The woven mat ramp covering is very grippy, even in wet conditions.  Bright, reliable LED tail & marker lights are standard, locks are standard on escape and dressing room doors and even the ramp latches are lockable.  The trailer shown here is equipped with the optional extra tall ramp (no charge), lever-style ramp latches, spare tire and striping package.
