If you’re familiar with Kingston, you know they’re
very good trailers. They’re not inexpensive,
but they typically last so long and are so reliable
that they offer great value. With the Kingston
Suffolk, we’re pleased to offer another excellent
product from Kingston - at a price that might
pleasantly surprise you. Our
introductory price on the standard Suffolk is just
$7995, excluding tax, tag and registration fees.
For many folks, a Kingston is a move-up trailer.
That is, they buy a trailer to use for a few years
and then move up to a Kingston. That’s not a
bad thing. But Kingston thought they could
develop a model that would offer Kingston quality
and features at a price point that would make it
appealing even for first-time shoppers. And
that’s how the Suffolk came about. In recognition
of the uncertainties in the economy, Traveled Lane
Trailers decided to build upon Kingston’s efforts by
offering the Suffolk at an introductory price we
haven’t seen on a Kingston in years. And
that’s how the $7995 came about.
The Suffolk offers the robust construction and
excellent craftsmanship you’ve come to expect from
Kingston. It’s well equipped, but it’s just not
quite as lavishly equipped as Kingston’s more
familiar models. The Suffolk we’re showing in
this section is totally standard. No options
were added. As you can see, it’s not a bare
bones model. It looks as a Kingston should,
because it is a Kingston.
The Suffolk has the same 7’5” interior height and
74” body width as most Kingston models. It has
a thoroughbred-length stall, but the wide V-nose
adds space forward and makes it feel roomier than
the typical thoroughbred-sized trailer.
The Suffolk has large sliding windows in front and
on both sides for a bright, inviting interior and
plenty of ventilation. Two escape doors are
standard, as is Kingston’s easy-lift rear ramp with
adjustable spring assist.
Beneath the surface, the Suffolk has the stout
structure for which Kingston is renowned. The
frame is chemically etched and epoxy primed before
application of the glossy finish coats. The
chassis is undercoated for additional protection.
On the exterior is Kingston’s familiar .050”
aluminum skin with baked-on finish. The
Suffolk’s skin is bonded to the frame with a special
adhesive that provides strength and quietness, while
isolating the dissimilar metals. Radial tires,
torsion axles and brakes on all wheels are standard.
As you can see, even though the Suffolk is very
affordable, it still has the important safety and
convenience features expected of a Kingston.
