Our Kingston Windsors and Briarwoods are very popular because they
comfortably accommodate a wide range of horse sizes, including large
warmbloods. But some horses, such as drafts and draft crosses,
are extra wide, so Kingston developed the extra wide Bedford to
accommodate them. What the Bedford shares with many of
Kingston’s models is the 7'5" interior height and 11-12’ horse area.
What it doesn’t share is its 80" body width, which is 6
inches wider than Kingston’s other bumper pulls.
Kingston builds their trailers for functionality
and safety rather than low price, so they’re all well equipped.
The Bedford is no exception. Two escape doors are standard, as
is a rear ramp with Kingston’s adjustable easy lift ramp assist.
For light and ventilation, the Bedford has 8 large windows, all
standard: 2 in the aerodynamic nose, 2 in the escape doors, 2 at the
sides of the stalls and 2 in the rear curtain doors.
The Bedford comes with a full stall divider as
standard. Floor mats and galvanized kick panels are standard
as well. Like other Kingston models, the Bedford features a
thick aluminum skin with baked-on finish and a robust frame with
carefully applied finishes for appearance and durability.
Other Bedford standards include smooth-riding torsion axles, radial
tires, LED tail lights, aluminum stone guards and much more.
We invite you to visit Traveled Lane to see our
great selection of Kingstons.
(P.S.
If you’d like to
be able to safely carry your tack in the trailer, check out an
upright rolling Saddle
Trunk in the "What's New" section
of our website. It fits nicely in the front area of the
Bedford and with the addition of a few D-rings [which we can
install], it can be secured easily for transit. Roll it right
up the ramp, secure it and go!)
